Course Description

Introduction to CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) , Version 1.2

Official SEI Three-Day Course

Overview

cmmiThis three-day course introduces software and systems engineering professionals to Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®) fundamental concepts. CMMI models are frameworks that help organizations improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services.

The course, which has been updated to be part of Version 1.2 of the CMMI Product Suite, helps prepare participants to make valid judgements regarding an organization's implementation of the CMMI process areas. It is helpful, also, in identifying issues that should be addressed in performing process improvement as structured by the CMMI model.

This course fulfills a prerequisite requirement for any course requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an SEI certificate of completion.
